Do I have to pay monthly after the website is built?
No! The £5,000 includes hosting forever. No ongoing fees required. However, your site is built with modern technology that requires professional tools to update. You can either pay-as-you-go at £85/hour or choose a management package starting at £150/month. Alternatively, we can provide the codebase if you want to self-host and manage updates yourself.
Can I update the site myself?
Your site is built with modern technology that uses professional tools for updates rather than a traditional CMS. We handle updates for you (via Trello or email), usually within 24-48 hours. This ensures professional quality and nothing breaks. If you prefer full control, we can provide the raw codebase and you can deploy it on your own hosting. However, this requires technical expertise (React/web development knowledge) and you'll lose the benefit of our managed hosting and professional updates.
Do I own the website?
We price by outcome and scope, not by the hour. Yes! You own the website and all its content. We host it on our platform for optimal performance, but you own the intellectual property. If you ever want to move it elsewhere, we'll provide the complete codebase. You'll need technical expertise to deploy and maintain it yourself though.
Do you offer ongoing support or retainers?
Yes. Many clients choose to work with us on an ongoing basis once the initial project is complete. This works well for teams who want continuous improvement without the overhead of a full-time hire.
What if I want to self-host the website?
We can provide the raw codebase (React application) for you to deploy on your own hosting. However, you'll need: Technical web development expertise Your own hosting infrastructure Ability to make code-level updates Most clients prefer our managed hosting because it's simpler, faster, and we handle all technical updates professionally. But the choice is yours. You own the code.
