Professional services

Clients hire a person, not a firm, and your website is where they meet them first.

Websites, search, social and ads for solicitors, accountants, architects, surveyors and consultancies. Built for the referred client who looks you up before they pick up the phone.

01 · Who this is for

This is for firms that win work on expertise and lose it on first impressions.

Partner-led firms, two to fifty people, where the work comes through reputation and referral. Where the website was built when the firm was smaller and now undersells it. Where “we should sort the website” has been on the partners’ meeting agenda for two years and nobody owns it.

If your firm competes on price, we’re not the right fit. If it competes on who you are, the site should say so.

02 · What we see on most professional firms’ websites

Most professional firms’ websites are a brochure from the year the firm last moved offices.

01

The people are hidden

Clients choose a solicitor, an accountant, an architect. Not a firm. If the partner bios are a paragraph and a passport photo, or missing, the one thing the client is checking isn’t there.

02

Nine practice areas share one “Services” page

Someone searching “commercial lease solicitor Gloucester” needs a page about commercial leases, in Gloucester. Not a list.

03

The homepage is titled “Home”

Google can’t find a firm whose homepage is called “Home”. It’s the most common fault we see and it takes an afternoon to fix.

04

The transparency rules are met in a PDF nobody can find

Price publication, regulator details, complaints. They’re present, buried, and doing nothing for trust because the client can’t see them where they’re looking.

05

The reviews are on Google and none are on the site

The firm has forty reviews that say exactly what a nervous client needs to hear. They’re on a different website.

06

The enquiry goes to reception’s inbox

It isn’t routed to the right person, there’s no response standard and no record. A referred client who waits three days for a reply assumes the firm is too busy for them.

What we’re not saying. Most professional firms’ sites are competent and were fine when they were built. This is about the gap between a firm’s reputation and what a stranger sees in the first eight seconds.

03 · What we do

We build the site around your people and your practice areas.

Website

Partner and team pages that do the job a first meeting does: real photography, what they actually do, who they act for, how to reach them directly. A page for every practice area, localised. Regulator transparency requirements built into the structure so they’re visible and compliant. Enquiry forms that route to the right person with a response standard you’ve set.

Search

Google Business Profile for every office. Local schema. Practice-area pages that rank for the towns you work in. Review requests built into the matter-close process. Measurement that shows which practice areas and which pages are producing enquiries.

Social

LinkedIn, mostly, because that’s where referrers are. Partner-led content planned monthly: the questions clients ask, the cases that illustrate a point, the changes in the law that matter to your clients. Approved by you, scheduled for you. We’ll say so if it isn’t worth your partners’ time.

Ads

Search campaigns for specific practice areas in specific places, where the economics work. For many professional firms they don’t, and we’ll say that on the call rather than sell it.

We diagnose before we quote. Most firms come to us for a new website. Some need one. Some need their people pages, their Google profile and their enquiry handling fixed, and the site left alone. We work out which before we quote.

04 · How it works

The process is fixed and it protects the partners’ time.

01

The discovery call takes 45 minutes

What a new client is worth, where clients come from now, what happens when someone enquires, what you’ve tried, where you want the firm to be in three years. One partner, not the whole partnership.

02

We diagnose before we design

Site, search presence, competitors, what your clients search for. A written view of what’s wrong and what’s worth doing. Sometimes shorter than you expected.

03

Content comes first

A photographer at the office. The partners, the team, the building. Bios written from a thirty-minute conversation with each person rather than a form they’ll never fill in.

04

We build with guided review sessions

Scheduled one-hour review sessions at milestones with a written change log. One partner signs off. Two sessions on Essential, three on Complete and Custom.

05

It goes live and gets measured

Tracking from day one. A monthly report by practice area. Retainers month to month after three months.

05 · What it costs

Prices are published and nothing is bundled.

Websites are one-off. Essential at £6,000 for a small firm with a handful of practice areas. Complete at £10,000, the usual choice, with copywriting, brand refresh and CRM integration. Custom from £15,000 for multi-office firms and full rebrands.

Monthly: search from £800, social from £800, ad management from £700 plus spend. Maintenance from £150.

All prices exclude VAT. 50% of any build is paid up front.

06 · Questions

Questions professional firms ask.

Why does the website matter if our clients come by referral?

Can you handle the transparency rules for a regulated firm?

How much of the partners’ time does this take?

Do we need social media?

Do you guarantee results?

It starts with a forty-five minute call.

Forty-five minutes with one partner. We’ll look at what you’ve got and tell you what we’d do first. If the answer is “fix three things and leave the site alone”, we’ll say that.
